Terms of service

The ground rules for using Elevate Learning. Short, plain, and fair to both sides.

  1. 01

    Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or booking a class on elevatelearning.us you agree to these terms, the Privacy policy, the Refunds & cancellations policy and the Cookie policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

  2. 02

    Who can use the site

Accounts are for parents and legal guardians aged 18 or over. A parent registers their children and books classes for them; children use the site only through a parent's account and with their parent's permission and supervision.

  3. 03

    Your account

Give us accurate information (including a phone number that works on WhatsApp) and keep it up to date. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what happens under your account. We may pause or close an account that is used to break these terms or to harm others.

  4. 04

    Classes and bookings

Classes are live, one-to-one or in small groups, with a teacher we assign or you choose. A booking may need the teacher's confirmation before it is final; until then the class page says so. Times are shown in Central Time (CT). You can join from your dashboard shortly before the class starts.

Each child gets one free first class per subject. Teachers and availability can change; if we have to cancel or move a class we will tell you and won't charge you for it.

  5. 05

    Prices, payment and points

The price of a class is shown on its page. Payment is arranged directly between your family and Elevate Learning (cash, check, Zelle or another method we agree) or by buying prepaid points, which are then used for classes. Any bonus points that come with a points plan are shown before you buy. There are no other fees: what you are charged for a class is the price shown, plus a late-cancellation or no-show fee only in the cases described in the Refunds & cancellations policy.

  6. 06

    Cancellations and refunds

The Refunds & cancellations policy sets out how and when you can cancel a class, what a late cancellation costs, and how unused points are refunded.

  7. 07

    Behaving in class

Be respectful to the teacher and other students. Don't record, photograph or share a class or anyone's image without everyone's permission, don't share class links, and don't use the live tools (video, chat, whiteboard, code editor) to post anything unlawful, abusive or unsafe. A teacher or admin may end a class or remove someone from it if needed. Admins may join a class to support it.

  8. 08

    Lesson materials and student work

Lessons, slides, worksheets and other teaching materials belong to Elevate Learning or its teachers. You may use them for your child's own learning, but not copy, sell or share them publicly.

Code, projects and other work a student creates belong to the student. A student's work is private unless it is marked public; by making something public you allow us to show it on the site.

  9. 09

    The service

We work to keep classes running smoothly, but live video depends on your device, your internet connection and our providers, and we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or improve the site from time to time.

  10. 10

    Limits on our responsibility

The site and classes are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, Elevate Learning is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the class concerned. Nothing in these terms limits anything that cannot be limited by law, such as responsibility for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

  11. 11

    Ending your account

You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your or your child's information (see the Privacy policy). We may end your access if these terms are broken. Cancelling or deleting an account doesn't cancel what has already been paid for unless the Refunds & cancellations policy says so.

  12. 12

    Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. If a change matters to you we will tell you, and continuing to use the site afterwards means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Elevate Learning is based, and nothing here removes any consumer protection that applies to you by law.
